Dr. Perry Glanzer (B.A., Rice University; M.A., Baylor University; Ph.D., University of Southern California) serves as Professor of Educational Foundations at Baylor University and a Resident Scholar with Baylor Institute for Studies of Religion. His first published book, The Quest for Russia’s Soul (Baylor University Press, 2002), examined post-Soviet moral education using original research undertaken in seventeen different Russian and Ukrainian cities. Since that time, he has coauthored with Todd Ream three additional books: The Idea of a Christian College: A Reexamination for Today’s University (Cascade, 2013), Christianity and Moral Identity in Higher Education (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2009), and Christianity and Scholarship in Higher Education (Jossey-Bass, 2007). His primarily scholarly interests pertain to moral education and religion and education, and he has published over fifty journal articles and book chapters on these topics. Author’s Amazon Page
Plenary Session 3: Developing a Future-Proof Skillset for Transformational Teaching.
Dr. Chris Thompson (B.A., University of Tennessee; M.Div., Ph.D., Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary) serves as Associate Vice-President of Distance Learning and Academic Support at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chris has helped create a more extensive, robust online learning experience for distance learning students by working with faculty to extend their campus courses to online and hybrid formats. He has overseen the creation of three free online courses and is well-versed in project and team management. Chris has taught various leadership and evangelism courses on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has also served as associate publisher at B&H Academic Publishing in Nashville, Tennessee where has led his team in print and digital acquisitions, marketing strategy, content editing and design.
